Explore the work that I have accomplished in this section that highlights 8 key competencies of learning design.

Competency #1 : Communication
The Designer can communicate design effectively orally and via documents, presentations, videos, pictures, and appropriate citations.
Artifact: Amazon project(PowerPoint)
Rationale: This project consisted of being a part of a design team where we had to research the company Amazon. The team researched aspects of Amazon as a company and then provided me with their research. From there I was able to articulate my groups information via a PowerPoint presentation.

Competency # 3:Quantitative Reasoning
The Designer can analyze mathematical and statistical data to create visualization tools and written documents articulating trends that assist in informing critical design decisions .
Artifact: Focus Group Feedback ( Visualization Tools)
Rationale: For this visualization tool I first began with creating a google form survey. After developing a prototype of a course, I assigned mock user to perform research for me to describe their experience taking the course and their opinion on what should be edited. After mock users completed the survey, google forms was used to articulate the data into pie charts and line graphs to further be analyzed.

Competency # 4:Leadership, Facilitation, and Collaboration
The Designer can effectively work as a facilitator, team lead , or collaborative team member, on a design project. Keeping in mind the core values of a successful team dynamic.
Artifact: Innovative Learning Solutions (ILS) Implementation Plan
Rationale: For this task, I was assigned to be a part of a collaborative group where we had to create an implementation plan for a client. Due to their being no leaders on this project, all group members agreed to be respectful of others’ opinions and input , and agree to only communicate with each other via email at specific times of the week only.

Competency # 6 : Learning Analytics
The Designer can analyze learner behavior and curriculum design flaws, to develop logical conclusions to design problems under critical consideration.
Artifacts: For 2021 School Year, LMS Data Analysis Tools Needed In K-12 & Higher Education (Research Journal Article)

Competency # 7 : Technology and Media
The Designer will effectively utilize technology and principles of multimedia learning to develop forms of multimedia that communicate a clear and cohesive message to learners.
